Sioux Falls Woman Charged with Felony Assault for Threatening Boyfriend with Hammer
A Sioux Falls woman who allegedly threatened her former boyfriend with a hammer is charged with assault.
Police were called around 2:20 PM Monday to the 3200 block of North Highland Avenue, where Officer Sam Clemens says the 37-year-old man was moving out.
Clemens says the two began arguing about a television, and at some point the woman picked up a hammer. He says the male half of the dispute thought she would hit him.
Police were called, and 28-year-old Samantha Ellen Nelson was charged with aggravated assault-domestic.
The man was not injured, and Clemens says both were there when police arrived.
