Sioux Falls Police say a most unusual break-in took place in the city on Monday at 420 North Duluth.

"[Monday] afternoon we had some people that returned to their apartment and found somebody had broken open the front door. The only thing they could find missing inside the apartment was some toilet paper," said Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens. "They said somebody had taken the toilet paper to the apartment maybe a week or so before. They really couldn't name that person. They seemed to think that was the only item that was missing - toilet paper."

Clemens says it's not often someone would beak into an apartment in search of toilet paper.

"I don't think we've had something like this in the past. We certainly have had a lot of different and unusual crimes. But, I don't recall any time toilet paper alone had been taken."

It's not known how much toilet paper was taken in the heist!
