Sioux Falls Police are searching for a cyclist after he ran into a woman on the bike trail.

Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says it happened on a Sunday afternoon in March.

"We had a group of women that were walking on the bike trail near the Elmen Park Trailhead at West 12th street. A bicyclist came to pass them and ran into one of the women. He hit her with such force that it actually flipped her up into the air. She landed on her back. During the process, the woman injured her shoulder. The bicyclist stopped briefly and took off again. We're looking at trying to figure out who that person was."

Clemens says the victim provided this description of the cyclist.

"He is a white man, 40 to 50 years and riding a black bicycle. He had a neon green shirt on with a thin muscular build. She also said he had a big nose."

If you have any information about the incident, Clemens urges you to call CrimeStoppers at 605-367-7007.
