Sioux Falls Police report an officer witnessed a possible drug deal Thursday afternoon near downtown Sioux Falls.

"An officer that was driving saw a woman leaning into a car that stopped on the roadway," Police Spokesman Sam Clemens told us. "He thought that was a little odd. She went across the street. The officer pulled around the corner and stopped. As he was parked there, a car pulled up behind him---about thirty yards or so. He saw the same woman cross the street again and lean into the car. It looked like they exchanged something. The woman left. As the car drove away, he stopped the vehicle. A passenger from the car got out and started walking away. We had another officer who was able to find her. Turns out she had some marijuana, meth and some pills with her. There was also some meth found inside the car."

Clemens says 23-year-old Samantha Dolezal of Fort Thompson faces a number of charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

In addition, Clemens says 42-year-old Andrew Howard of Sioux Falls, the driver, was arrested on drug related charges.
