Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says two men were arrested after thousands of dollars of flooring materials were stolen from Flooring Unlimited near Third and Kiwanis Avenue.

"The owners had discovered that someone broke in sometime Saturday night to early Sunday morning. Looks like they went through the office and took some checks along with other items. What they noticed was a lot of the flooring materials had been moved around. It appeared the suspects were planning on coming back. After this information was passed on to our other officers---we had them in the area in an unmarked car. Sometime early Monday morning, the officer on scene saw a pickup drive through the grass. One guy got out and opened the door. He then opened up the overhead door and drove the pickup inside."

Clemens says 40-year-old Micah Buum and 46-year-old George Ridgeway have been charged with third degree burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Clemens says in the vehicle, officers found flooring materials and checks.
