I don’t know about you, but when I get the late night munchies, my first thought is usually pizza. A fresh, gooey, yummy pie full of pepperoni and black olives. But pizza is not always accessible 24/7. What do you do when the stores are closed and you can’t feed your must-have craving?

Enter the impressive new device in North America: a pizza ATM! This is incredible!

The first-ever pizza machine in the U.S. to serve fresh, restaurant-quality pies has made its way to Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. It will make it’s debut next month, when school starts for the fall semester.

The machine was developed by a company named Paline, out of France. The ATM will hold 70 partially-cooked medium pizzas. Each is made with vegan dough and sauce, with a variety of toppings available. It takes 5-10 minutes to finish cooking, is boxed up then delivered through a slot. Each costs just $9.

If the supply begins to get low, employees are notified via their cell phone to restock. This keeps the supply of pizzas constantly flowing. Score!

Xavier Asisstant Vice President Jude Kiah Said: “We were looking for a way to solve this problem of having a late-night pizza option on campus. We like the idea of being first and innovative and trying something new. There’s one Pizza ATM in the U.S. and this is it.”

If the new technology is a success, (and I imagine it will be, provided it runs smoothly) I assume more colleges will jump up on the bandwagon and order their very own Pizza ATMS. This is brilliant and I need one in my life.
