Can’t Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ Because You Don’t Have HBO? This Weekend Get Free HBO.
I don't watch Game of Thrones. I don't know what it's about or why it's so popular. If it's not on Food Network or a rerun on Nick at Night or TBS, I probably don't watch it.
Apparently, the new season premiere was Sunday night (July 16) and people went nuts. Would I watch the show if I had HBO? Maybe.
Here's my chance. Midco customers get a 4-day free preview of HBO and Cinemax Friday, July 21 through Monday, July 24. The next new episode of Game of Thrones airs Sunday (July 23) at 8:00 PM Central.
Like most TV shows, when you jump in without watching any other episodes, you might be a little bit lost. I think you'll be able to tell if you like the concept just by watching one episode though. If you do get hooked, you can buy the DVDs online.
There is more to HBO than just Game of Thrones. The network was nominated for 110 Primetime Emmy Awards this year. Other shows to watch include Westworld, Silicon Valley, and Veep, just to name a few.
