If your teen is driving already, or just about to start, this event being put on by Sioux Empire Safety Village is the perfect thing to get them involved in. The C.R.A.S.H. (Car Repair and Safety Help) clinic will teach them all kinds of things about the vehicle they are driving or maybe the one they want to.

They'll find out the cost of owning and operating a vehicle. They'll learn how to identify specific car parts, check the oil, change a tire, add windshield washer fluid and other basic maintenance procedures, as well as the need for and cost of auto insurance. They'll get winter weather driving tips and have the opportunity to learn the consequences of distracted and impaired driving through the use of virtual reality driving simulators.

The C.R.A.S.H. clinic is coming up on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 8:00 AM to Noon at Sioux Empire Safety Village located at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds. It's for teens aged 13 to 18 and the cost is just $25. If the class fee is a bit high for your youngster or family, financial assistance is available.

Teens can register by calling, (605) 334-7233 or check out Sioux Empire Safety Village's website or Facebook page.
