Bomb-Like Object Neutralized by Sioux Falls Police
A suspicious object near downtown Sioux Falls drew the attention of police around 5:45pm Wednesday.
Officer Sam Clemens says police, and then the bomb squad, were called to the northeast corner of 14th Street and Minnesota, where a passerby had noticed a mysterious object in a rock display:
A robot examined the object and a disrupter was used to neutralize it.
Clemens says no explosives were found in the device, but the 14th and Minnesota intersection was closed for a time so police and the bomb squad could investigate.
